Our Story

Aruffo’s Italian Cuisine is passionate about quality and service.

A tradition of excellence in a city of tradition, located in historic Claremont Village, Aruffo’s Italain Cuisine has remained a labor of love for its owners Tom & Valerie Aruffo, since its opening in 1985. Their family roots, from Abruzzo and Sicily provided a natural affinity toward food and hospitality.  Tom, a graduate of The Culinary Institute Of America in Hyde Park, New York, and Valerie a self taught chef have created unique dishes with their extraordinary flare for blending authentic Italian cuisine with contemporary farm to table, creating a truly exceptional dinning experience.

When you experience its warm and friendly atmosphere, you’ll think you’ve stumbled into a busting trattoria in the heart of Italy.  Once you step inside the fabulous aromas take over your senses.  Strikingly unique original Italian art posters from the late 1800’s to W.W.I, create a casual and attractive setting that will both tempt your palette and seduce your senses.

Aruffo’s prepares each dish from scratch, procuring farm to table artisanal foods and authentic imported Italian ingredients. Known and loved for our famous Tuscany garlic bread, baked with fresh Italian herbs, virgin olive oil, San Marrzano tomatoes and imported peccorino romano cheese. Delicious selections of home made pasta, ravioli, ocean fresh seafood, prime steaks, tender milk fed veal and free-range poultry.  Confections prepared fresh daily, with the finest fruits, European chocolates and fine liqueurs. Create a pre-set menu from our full menu selections or choose one of the prix fixe menus. Menus will be printed on card stock and presented to your guests tableside.

Aruffo’s has forged partnerships with small boutique wineries, serving the finest California and Italian imported wines.
